A gamma camera is used to evaluate radioactive contamination surveys. With the development of an unmanned aerial vehicle system, the gamma camera technology for in-situ measurement is being developed. However, gamma cameras have a narrow dynamic range of dose rates. More than one detector is required to detect the 3D position of radioactive hotspots. In this paper, we developed a prototype of an in-situ spectroscopic gamma camera to overcome the limitations. The gamma camera was designed to have a spatial resolution of 2 degrees. A circuit and DAQ were designed to process signals at high speeds. We proposed a method for real-time pulse pile-up correction in high radiation fields. We also proposed a method for detection of 3D position of radioactive hotspots using a single gamma camera. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed methods by experiments.
