The demand for flexible and wearable strain sensors is increasing for various potential applications such as motion capture device, health monitoring devices, and structural health monitoring devices. So, research on strain sensor with high flexibility and stretchability being actively conducted. One of the promising sensors is 1D nanomaterial network based sensor, because 1D nanomaterials combined with stretchable matrix or substrate offer a electrical characteristics to materials. 1D nanomaterial based sensors are largely affected by the properties of 1D nanomaterial such as a length, a diameter of them. In our research, we uncover the effect of the properties of 1D nanomaterial on a strain sensor and suggest the design map for 1D nanomaterial based strain sensor. Additionally, based on the simulation results, we present a design map of sensor performance according to the design parameters by utilizing Gaussian process regression.
