The performance of composite laminates fabricated with tow-prepregs is mainly determined by the resin flow during the manufacturing process. In order to manufacture high-performance composites, it is important to investigate characteristics of the resin flow induced at intra/inter tow-prepreg and control it appropriately. Therefore, the results of the flow analysis on the micro-scaled tow-prepreg were reflected into the meso-scaled tow-prepreg so that the flow of resin and the behavior of the tow-prepreg can be considered simultaneously. In micro-scale, the resin flow analysis was conducted by FLUENT with representative volume element and the permeability values were calculated from the results. In meso-scale, the permeability values obtained from micro-scale and change of resin viscosity according to cure cycle were applied to tow-prepreg's consolidation simulation in Abaqus. With the same boundary conditions, experiments were performed and the same tendency was shown compared with the numerical analysis result.
