Here, we report the fundamental technologies of a textile-based AM-OLED which has wide applicability, washability, as well as mechanical flexibility like real textiles. In this work, the textile platform used as the substrate of the textile display had a very simple structure, with an ultrathin planarization layer, a strain buffer, and a polyester textile. Nonetheless, by using a differentiated fabrication process and a unique stress-lowering structure, it showed greatly improved mechanical properties and practicality. In addition, red, green and blue colored OLEDs, a low-temperature designed TFT with a mobility of 14.8 cm2/V∙s, and a water-resistant encapsulation were demonstrated on the textile platform.
의류 형태(clothing-type)의 웨어러블 디스플레이를 구현을 위해, 직물(textile)을 이용한 디스플레이 플랫폼을 개발하고, 표면 평활도, 유연성과 기계적 변형률 및 응력에 대해 다양한 평가와 분석을 진행한다. 나아가 의류형 플랫폼 기반 유기발광디스플레이 소자의 구동 신뢰성에 대한 연구를 진행하고, 최종적으로 스마트 디스플레이 및 광치료 의류 형태 응용 사례를 제시한다.
