Cloud computing technology is expanding its services to individual users. The primary objective of this study is to compare the predisposing factors that affect the perceived value and the intention to use between users who have experienced services and those who have never experienced services. An empirical model is built and explored from the perspective of benefit and sacrifice based on the value-based adoption model. The analysis results show that perceived usefulness, network effects, and perceived cost have significant effects on perceived value, which has a significant effect on intention to use. Ubiquity is found to be significant only in case of experienced users. This study contributes to the exploration of users' intention to use personal cloud service from the perspective of benefit and sacrifice.
