This thesis investigates empirically whether investors can earn abnormal returns with analysts’ EPS revision portfolios in the Korean stock market. In particular, it shows that the difference of average risk-adjusted returns between stocks with the highest EPS revision and lowest revision is 0.5% per quarter over the sample period. This result suggests that subsequent revisions to EPS estimates are highly correlated with the contemporaneous changes in stock prices. In addition, it leads this thesis to examine whether such revisions are sufficiently predictable to enable investors to earn abnormal returns on the long-short portfolio. It turns out that analyst EPS revisions are predictable with three determinants, return on assets, loss, and institutional ownership. Moreover, this suggests an implementable strategy that takes long position in firms in the highest decile and short position in firms in the lowest decile based on the predicted EPS revision . Consistent with the results on the EPS revision, the strategy earns positive abnormal returns using the predicted EPS revision
