A Navier-Stokes analysis code for three-dimensional compressible flow inside the inlet of arbitrary shape has been developed. In nonorthogonal body-fitted computational grids, the SIAF(Scalar Implicit Approximate Factorization) scheme is adopted for the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. The procedure has been tested against the compression-ramp and other known flows; The results appear satisfactory. It is then used to predict the laminar flow in more practical inlet shapes: the S-duct with two different curvatures and two S-ducts merging to a single passage. The results for various cases are presented in the thesis.
