Multilevel additive Schwarz methods are domain decomposition techniques. These methods are parallel algorithms and hence can be powerful in parallel computers. We apply it for the nonsymmetric and indefinite elliptic problems. The iterative scheme is the GMRES method. We prove that the number of iterations is independent of the mesh sizes and the number of levels. We give some numerical experiments for our theory.
Multilevel Additive Schwarz 방법은 영역 분할법의 한가지로서 병렬처리에 적합한 알고리즘을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 방법을 비대칭적이고 indefinite한 타원형 방정식 문제에 적용한다. Iterative방법으로 GMRES를 적용했을 때, level의 수와 mesh의 크기에 상관없는 일정한 횟수 안에 해가 구해짐을 밝힌다. 그리고 프로그램을 작성하여, 실행시켜 우리의 이론을 뒷받침하는 결과를 얻는다.
