Additional channel assignment problem(ACAP) is practically improtant in mobile cellular systems, but there are few studies in this area. In cellular systems, due to the increasing demand for servied, there is room for congestion. When the congestions occur, the service quality is degraded. In this case, there is need for cell splitting or assignning additional channels to certain base station. In this paper, we study the methods assignning the channels to the base station where cell splitting are occurred or the additional channels are required. But chammels that have already been preassigned to the existing base stations, should not be changed. We show that the problem can be solved efficiently using a neural network approach. This is because the feature of ACAP can be used to neural network model. We consider two examples and find a feasible solution for each example.
