In conceptual modeling of information system, modeling of static and dynamic aspects are considered to be elemental. Many traditional conceptual models concentrate on representing and capturing either the structural modeling(entities, attributes of and relationships among them) or dynamic modeling(i.e. event, transactions). Interests in information systems combining Computer Science and Management Science facilitate the needs of a conceptual modeling formalism which can integrate static and dynamic aspects of reality. Object-Behavior Modeling Methodology is suggested in this thesis, which can be used to integrate structure and behavior modeling. The formalism is based on an object oriented data model and graph refinement concepts. A modeling support system, Object-Behavior Modeling support System(OBMSS) is implemented for supporting modeler based on the Object-Behavior modeling methodology.
정보시스템의 개념적 모형화에 있어서, 정적인 측면과 동적인 측면이 기본적인 부분으로 인식되고 있다. 대부분의 전통적인 개념적 모형들은 정적인 측면(주로 개체, 개체의 속성, 관계들)의 모형화나 동적인 측면의 모형화 중의 한 측면만을 표현하는데 중점을 두고 있다. 다양한 정보시스템의 연구들에서, 실재의 정적인 측면과 동적인 측면을 통합할 수 있는 개념적 모형의 필요성이 대두되고 있다.
본 연구에서는 정보시스템의 정적, 동적 측면을 통합하기위한 개념적 모형으로서, 객체 - 행위 모형화 방법론(Object - Behavior Modeling Methodology)을 제시하는것을 그 목적으로 한다. 이 체계는 객체중심 자료 모형(object-oriented data model)과 그래프 세분화(graph refinement) 개념을 그 바탕으로 하고있다. 이 방법론하에서의 모형화과정을 지원하기위한 시스템으로서, 객체-행위 모형화 지원 시스템(Object-Behavior Modeling Support System, OBMSS)을 구축하였다.
