In this paper, a new zero voltage switching PWM CSI using thyristors is proposed. The switching operation occurs at zero-voltage instants so that the switching losses is reduced and the reliable high frequency operation is obtained. The proposed inverter is analyzed and operating conditions are presented. And circuit design rule is proposed. The simulation and experimental results of the proposed inverter are presented. The proposed inverter can operate well for any lagging loads except limitation of minimum output power.
