Numerically efficient finite element-boundary element hybrid method has been investigated for 3-dimensional electromagnetic field analysis. By choosing boundary meshes translationally invariant in azimuth angles, the boundary element matrices become block circulant, which greatly reduces memory storage and computation time for matrix inversion. The resulting matrix equation is solved by conjugate gradient method (CGM) for numerical efficiency, too. To check applicability of this new method, magnetic field disturbance by a hollow sphere in uniform field is calculated and compared with analytic solution.
