We study a G/M/3 queue with vacations.
We consider two models In the first, two servers who find the queue empty take a vacation, other server can not take a vacation even if the system becomes empty. In the second, each server takes a vacation when he completes service and the queue is empty. These vacation models are analyzed by the supplementary variable method. Joint probabilities of the queue length and the number of servers available in the system at arrival time points and random time points are served. It is shown that G/M/3 vacation model is reduced to the ordinary G/M/3 queue without vacation when the rate of vacation time approaches infinity.
본 논문에서는, 휴가 시간을 갖는 대기체계 G/M/3에서 두가지 모델 (첫째 모든 server가 휴가 시간을 가지는 경우, 둘째 먼저 service를 한 두 명의 server만 휴가 시간을 가지고 나머지 한 server는 시스템에 남아 있는 경우) 각각에 대해 도착 순간과 임의의 순간에서 시스템내 사람의 수와 이용할 수 있는 server수의 결합 확률(joint probability)을 supplementary variable 방법으로 구하였다.
