Graphical techniques have long been known as powerful aids for data analysis. Numerous papers can be found on computer generated static graphical methods for the data representation. Due to advances in computing, recent research in this area has principally focused on highly interactive and dynamic methods.
In this paper, a collection of dynamic graphical methods-brushing, identification, linking, animation, rotation-is reviewed, and method for the use of them on the personal computer is introduced.
