Low frequency ripple of the input voltage degrades the performance of the series resonant converter. To mitigate the detrimental effect, a feedforward compensator is employed. To design the compensator, small signal dynamic model which is valid for low frequencies and is based on the modulation of the diode conduction angle for control is used. The feedforward gain depends on various operating values such as dc input voltage, dc output voltage, load. In this paper, self-tunning compensator which tracks the feedforward gain variation according to the operating point variation is proposed. The performance of the proposed compensator is verified through simulations and experiments.
