Generally, the performance of Voltage Source Inverter for speed control of Induction Motor is determined by the reliability, PWM scheme, and driving method of switching devices.
In this thesis, the Vector Space Modulation method is proposed to reduce the switching loss and get the large fundamental output component in comparison with the conventional Subharmonic PWM method.
And the circuits to drive the power Transistor and to protect from the abnormal conditions are designed to improve the reliability and performance of system. Finally, the simulated and experimental results are given to show the usefulness of the proposed method.
