Phonon frequency dispersion curves for KCl and NaCl crystals are evaluated on the basis of kellerman's rigid ion model by use of Gilat and dolling's new root sampling method.
We have compared our results with the second order Raman spectrum and previous results calculated by shell model.
Second order Raman spectra of KCl and NaCl single crystals are measured at room temperature.
