This thesis proposes two schemes which can improve the efficiency of inference in rule-based expert system by reflecting the characteristics of users.
The first is the consideration of user's level of expertise. The second is the reuse of dialog made in the past. To reflect user's level of expertise, Question and Down approach is proposed. For the Question and Down method, the determination of down-size is very important. Therefore performance for various down size is evaluated. The implication for the design of expert system is derived from the performance evaluation. As a second type of support for user dependent dialog, the Dialogued Fact Base is proposed to reflect user's dialog history.
Finally, a prototype UDDG(User Dependent Dialog Generator) which reflects the user's characteristics discussed above is developed using pascal in the micro computer.
본 논문은 규칙형 전문가 시스템에서 사용자의 특성을 반영함으로써 추론의 효율을 높히고자 함을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 목적을 위해 두가지 방법을 제시하였다.
첫째는 사용자의 지식의 정도를 추론에 반영하는 것으로, Question and Down 방법을 제시하였다. Question and Down 방법에서는, Down의 크기를 결정하는 것이 중요하므로, 여러 Down 크기에 대한 추론의 효율을 측정하여 분석하였고 이 분석을 바탕으로 전문가 시스템의 설계에서 반영해야 할점을 도출하였다. 둘째는 과거에 시스템을 이용했을 때의 대화를 재사용하는 것으로, 이를 위해 DFB(Dialogued Fact Base)를 이용하였다.
끝으로, 위의 두가지 사용자 특성을 반영한 프로토타입인 'UDDG'(User Dependent Question Generation)를 개인용 컴퓨터에서 pascal language로 실현해 보았다.
