The mean-frequency aliasing problem is one of the major limitations in ultrasound pulsed Doppler system. This problem has been resolved by tracking mean-frequencies close to and beyond the Nyquist frequency along the temporal axis.
But, this method is not fault tolerable, and not suitable to 2-D Doppler system. To resolve the disadvantages, a new concept of tracking mean frequencies along the spatial axis is proposed.
Theoritical analysis and simulations are performed. Experimental results obtained in vivo and in vitro are presented. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed system has enhenced performance compared with that of the conventional system.
