As exhibition plays a role for communication method between visitors and exhibits, visitor’s experience become more important in exhibition design. In addition, to convey contents and meanings behind exhibits more effectively, systematic approaches for interpretive exhibition are needed.
In this study, I proposed an interaction model appropriate for interpretive exhibition and possibility of its application was reviewed. For this purpose types of visitors were analyzed and interactions in exhibition were studied. Exhibition that reflected suggested interaction model was designed and it was used for user test. From this I could recognize preferred pattern of interaction differs depending on type of visitor. The result of this study can be utilized to induce more diversified participation of visitors in designing interpretive exhibition based on the interaction model.
전시가 점차 관람객과 전시물의 소통의 장으로 역할 하면서 전시장 안에서의 관람객의 경험은 전시 디자인에서 매우 중요해지고 있다. 또한 전시물의 내용과 의미를 다양한 관람객들에게 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 체계적인 해석적 전시(interpretive exhibition) 개발이 필요한 상황이다.
본 연구에서는 해석적 전시(Interpretive exhibition) 디자인에 적합한 인터랙션 모델을 제시하고 그 활용 가능성을 살펴보고자 했다. 이러한 목적을 위해 전시 관람객 유형을 분석하고 정리했으며, 관람객과 전시물 사이의 인터랙션에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 제시된 인터랙션 모델을 적용한 전시 디자인을 제작하여 사용자 조사를 실시하였고, 이를 통해 관람객 유형마다 선호하는 인터랙션 유형이 다르다는 것을 파악하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 해석적 전시를 디자인하는 과정에서 인터랙션 모델을 기반으로 하여 다양한 관람객의 참여를 유도하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
