Corresponding to the change of the operation modes, it is highly desirable that fault tolerance concept be applied to the control system to prevent the shutdown of large power plants caused by system failure.
In this thesis, we describe how to achieve the reliability improvement in multiprocessor based Fault Tolerant Control System (FTCS) and improve the performance.
This FTCS technique has been actually applied to the analog boiler control system of Ulsan power plant and the performance evaluation has been made for the on-line diagnosis of regular power plant operation.
