A general procedure of fatigue life prediction was developed for structural integrity assessment. Various methods of fatigue life estimation were discussed, including the estimation techniques of fatigue properties for the cases when fatigue data was not available at hand. Fatigue lives were predicted for the random load histories used in the S. A. E. Fatigue Cumulative Damage Test Program. For 12 cases classified in the study, the predicted lives were in good agreement with the experimental results published in the previous Program.
