This paper deals with the pole assignment of a current controlled PWM inverter fed induction motor system. This method not only improves the performance of a stable system but also stabilizes an unstable system. The squirrel-cage induction motor can be characterized as a nonlinear and multi-input multi-output system with unmeasurable rotor current and is linearized on operating point. In this thesis, the pole assignment is realized with only measurable output. The usefulness of the proposed design method is shown by the computer simulation and experimental results.
