Accrual anomaly is one of the well-known anomalies. It is based on the rationale that accruals, a proxy for earning management, will affect future abnormal earnings, so they will affect stock price move-ment. Another method to measure earnings management is to use discretionary accruals.
In this paper, I investigate three discretionary accruals estimating models, modified Jones model (1995) and Yoon and Kim models (2013); modified Jones model is the most famous estimation model in the world, and Yoon and Kim models were published recently in Korea. Then I will examine stock movement prediction models which relate future stock movements to discretionary and non-discretionary accruals, which were estimated from three discretionary accruals models
