A specific design problem is considered and a final design presented following a general design procedure. The overall design procedure of the case has shown effectiveness and practicability of application of the established design methodology utilized.
The design objective taken is to devise and present the main design of a paper cup production machine and to show the feasibility. Following a representative procedural model from literature, the problem is analyzed, technical processes constructed, and detailed layout of various elements and their specification generated. The main process of paper cup edge folding has been studied in detail and its feasibility is checked experimentally.
