In this paper, a micromotor based endoscopic catheter for optical coherence tomography for gastrointestinal imaging is demonstrated. The 3.1mm-diameter catheter can perform a circular scanning by rotating a prism attached to the shaft of the micromotor. The rotating probe is pulled back to perform a helical scanning pattern with rotational speed of 203rps. The probe’s axial resolution and spot size are $6.7 \mu m$ and $30 \mu m$, respectively. An angiographic OCT image and a 3D-OCT image were acquired from an in-vivo sample of a rat colon. Cubic spline rear-rangement for A-lines of the OCT images and motion compensation of angiograph-ic image frames were performed to acquire OCT angiogram. It is shown that re-duced distortion element other than NURD in the micromotor probe is required for acquiring stable angiographic OCT images.
