In this thesis a computer program is developed for financial planning using microcomputers.
This program combines some developments in financial modeling with the power of microprocessors. The scope of this program is financial planning, policy, and strategic decision making in manufacturing companies. This program combines three elements for the financial manager -a system of financial planning, financial-economic measurement of value under uncertainty, and the power of personalized computer modeling systems.
FPSM(Financial Planning System for Microcomputers), presented in this program, is the planning system which connects simulation and goal programming techniques with Accounting systems. The purpose of the system is to forecast pro forma financial statements and to make budget plans on them. This system aids the financial manager with decision support systems for financial planning of manufacturing firms.
