This study proposes, RBSP (Revised Business Systems Planning), a new version of BSP for MIS planning. RBSP is intended to make up for an applicational disadvantage of the existing technique by improving the environmental adaptibility and analyzing various information requirements.
To illustrate the use of RBSP, an MIS plan is developed for the domestic LNG industries through the following four-phase approach.
1. Study the feasibility and the benefits of the plan.
2. develop a broad understanding of the LNG industry structure and identify the critical success factors the MIS role in the organization.
3. identify informations necessary to run the organization.
4. develop MIS strategies including ranking priorities of S/W, method to develop S/W, time to introduce H/W and construction of the network, and establish an implementation plan under these strategies.
