This thesis is concerned with the analysis of the quantity discount pricing schedule under the assumption of a single break-point. The aim is to determine the discount policy in order to increase vendor's profit. The discount policy without time value of money is proposed for the two types of quantity discount such as all units quantity discount and incremental quantity discount. In particular, discount policy with time value of money is also developed in the all units quantity discount model. We investigate the case in which both the discount rate and the break-point are unknown, and the cases in which either one is prescribed. Numerical examples are also given to illustrate the policy developed.
본 논문은 판매자의 이익을 최대화 할수 있는 할인정책의 설정에 관한 연구이다. 즉 제안된 할인정책에 따른 구입자의 구매량을 예견함에 의하여 판매자의 이익을 최대화 할수 있는 할인 정책을 설정하였다.
이 논문은 다음의 세가지 경우에 따라 할인 정책을 설정하였다.
첫째, 할인율이 정해진 경우, 가격 분기점을 어디에 위치시킬 것인가?
둘째, 가격 분기점이 주어진 경우, 어느정도의 할인을 해줄것인가?
세째, 할인율과 가격 분기점을 동시에 어떻게 정해줄 것인가?
이 논문에서 설정된 바와 같은 할인정책을 구입자에게 제시함에 의하여 판매자의 준비 (Set-up) 횟수가 줄어 들었으며, 이익을 증대시킬 수 있었다. 또한 구입자에게도 그의 비용면에서 손해는 발생하지 않았다.
이 논문은 두 명 또는 그 이상의 구입자를 갖는 경우에 초석으로서 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
