A Study on Driving stress developed on pile by pile-driving is presented. The main part of this paper is concerned with the sensitivity study of several factors affecting the driving stress as well as driveability. In order to predict the driving stress and driveability of onshore and offshore piling, wave equation theory was used. In addition, important aspects in the design and construction of pile was also discussed.
