By use of the variational inequality approach, an axially symmetric finite cavity problem is considered for an extended Riabouchinsky model. The model constructed by adding a finite cylinder in addition to two symmetrically located barriers. A necessary condition for the existence of the solution is obtained. When the solution exists, the uniqueness of solution is also given.
