Elimination process of isolated pores during liquid phase sintering of Co-Cu alloy has been investigated. Experiment has been carried out by creating three or four large spherical isolated pores in specimens.
As grains grew, the size of isolated pore filled by liquid flow has been increased. When the grain size measured by experiment for filling isolated pores by liquid flow, was compared with Park's theoritical value, experimental value was smaller than theoretical one. And the difference between two has been increased as the pores were larger.
The factors affecting on grain size for filling isolated pore by liquid flow such as gas, grain size distribution and shape of grains on the surface, have been discussed.
