Turbulent mixing field with recirculating flow which is formed by injecting gaseous fuel on the main air stream is solved numerically by a finite difference scheme. The transport properties are obtained from the turbulent kinetic energy and its dissipation rate.
Streamline curvature modification taken account of the curved streamline effect is particularly considered.
Comparision is carried out between experiment and predicted quantity.
Analyses are performed for the following four cases.
(1) Upwind. C =0.09
(2) Upwind, Streamline Curvature Modification
(3) Skew-upwind, C =0.09
(4) Skew-upwind, Streamline Curvature Modification
Analyses results for case (2) give good agreement with experimental results. While, case (3) and (4) display deteriorate agreement in comparision with case (1) and (2).
Generally, streamline curvature modification gives a little better results than that without it.
