The Silicon substrate of a 5x7 alphanumeric flat panel display has been implemented on the monolithic silicon chip including drivers. The electrical circuitry of the substrate consists of two dynamic shift registers and thirty-five picture elements which were realized using silicon gate PMOS technology.
The operations of 2-phase dynamic shift register and the charge storage of picture cell capacitors are measured.
