Electrohydrodynamic stability of circular liquid jet in transverse electric fields is considered.
Basic state and perturbed state of liquid jet in the presence of electric fields are calculated by assuming that electric effects are small in comparison with surface tension effects.
Stability of inviscid and perfectly conducting fluid is analyzed in detail, and it is found that electric effects increase instability and decrease the most unstable wave number.
