The dynamic behavior of the rotor passing through the resonance speed is analysed.
Model of vibration of the rigid rotor with small unbalance is set up and the resulting equations of motion involve nonlinear interaction between rotation and vibration of the rotor, and gyroscopic effect.
The steady state response and the natural frequency of the rotor system are worked out for given rotating speeds of the rotor.
Qualitative analysis and computer simulation are given for the transient response of the rotor system, and results show that effects of the various parameters and significance of gyroscopic effect on characteristic of vibration of the rotor system.
