In this thesis, intermittent interference with pseudorepetitive operations is investigated to determine the effect of interruption on the task of performing a sequence of motions.
And to give the generality, various conditions of work environment which are prevalent in industry are simultaneously analyzed.
As a result, it is found that interruption effects in the pseudorepetitive work are not of one's own properties, but variable properties according to working conditions or layouts of workplace.
Therefore, for this experiment, elemental motion times are not random variables which could be added in any sequences without regard for the interaction between the elements.
This result suggests the doubt to the validity of PTS (Predetermined Time Standard).
From this viewpoint, the underlying assumption of PTS is questionable, and it would be better to focus our attentions to the development of ideal workplace or to the construction of factors that reduce the interruption effect, especially under the psychological basis.
본 논문에서는 일련의 연속작업중의 작업단속(interruption)이 기본 요소 동작 시간 (elemental motion time) 에 어떤 형태로 영향을 미치는 가를 살펴 보았고 또 실제 작업 공정에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 작업환경과 함께 분식 함으로써 그 때의 단속효과가 변질되어가는 과정을 연구하였다.
그 결과, 작업단속의 효과는 원래 작업에 내제하는 고정불변의 것이 아니고 주변 상황이나 작업 및 작업대의 합리적인 고안으로 없애거나 크게 줄여 줄 수 있다는 사실이 발견되었다.
이러한 관점에서 볼 때 인간의 행동이 고정불변의 값을 갖는 요소동작으로 구분될 수 있다는 생각은 매우 회의적이며 오히려 이러한 상황을 만족시켜 줄 수 있는 작업환경의 구상이 앞으로의 연구과제가 되어야 하겠다.
