In order to develop simple low-cost liquid crystal panel display, 5×7 alphanumeric display panel has been made and tested.
A commonly used nematic liquid crystal, 4-Methoxybenzylidine-4'-n-butylanaline, was used in the panels as the liquid crystal.
Driving circuits and test patterns have been fabricated on n-type silicon wafer with using PMOS technology.
