The purpose of this study was to apply Time Series technique to control the vibration of a cantilever system by using Servo-Damper. The study was initiated to suppress chatter arising when a large slender tool holder is in usage to machine large workpieces. The experiments were performed on a simplified experimental setup composed of a cantilever beam, a servodamper unit mounted at the free end of the beam and other control units. The noise input to the servo-damper drives the unit and the resulting beam vibration was measured and modeled by Bivariate Time Series technique. It was found that the ARMAV (6, 5) model was adequate to represent the characteristics of the whole system.
The characteristic roots of the model were successfully identified to the dynamics of the corresponding system elements.
The forecasting control equation and scheme based on the Bivariate Time Series Model were derived and suggested.
공작기계의 Chatter를 제어하기위한 새로운 시도로서 시계열 분석법이 이용되었다.
실험은 단순화시킨 실험장치를 제작하여 행해졌으며 실험장치는 서어보댐퍼와 외팔보 및 기타 장치로 이루어져 있다. 여기서 외팔보는 보오링 바이트와 같은 가늘고 긴 구조의 바이트를 단순화시킨 것이고 서어보댐퍼는 진동을 흡수하기 위한 Active Absorver의 역할을 한다.
실험에 앞서서 모형화시킬수 있는 프로그램이 개발되었으며 계에 대한 Identification이 수행되었고 최종적으로 적합한 모형과 그에 따른 최적 제어수식이 구해졌다.
