The time-division circuit-switching network and circuit-switching call control software are developed and implemented for a Hybrid data switching network.
The general switching methods such as circuit switching, message switching and packet switching, and their differences are briefly reviewed.
The overall structure of a Hybrid data switching network are described, which consists of three switching nodes, each having both circuit-switching and packet-switching parts.
The simple time-division switching network is designed to interconnect the time slots for oversampled user data samples with a synchronous address control in the input highway (MUX) and the output highway (DMUX).
The call control software is explained in detail, which includes the programs for call store and forward function and a direct call transfer to the PAD (Packet assembly and disassembly) for calls to a different switching nodes.
The experimental results of the implemented systems are discussed.
