This study deals with the development of a programming precedure for multibody partially bonded elastic contact problems. An iterative method based on a modified symplex-type algorithm is used. The solution technique is compatible with finite-element methods, so that contact problems with complex boundary configuration can be solved.
The formulation developed here is applied to inclusion problems as typical numerical examples and the results are presented and discussed. The solution is found highly dependent on the debonding condition.
