Image segmentation is one of the integral parts in image-based pattern recognition system.
In this thesis, a novel image segmentation algorithm based on simple partition mode test of pixels of sliding window is proposed.
This simple and systematic one-path algorithm produces very favorable results for highly noisy images as well as relatively noise-free images.
A detailed description of the algorithm, and a number of examples demonstrating the utility of the algorithm, are given.

본 논문에서는 Sliding window내의 pixel들의 partition mode에 근거한 새로운 영상 영역화 기법을 개발하였다.
새로이 개발된 간단하고 체계적인 one-path Algorithm 은 잡음이 많은 영상에 대해서도 좋은 결과를 나타내고 있다.
