Analytic solutions of linearly-chirped grating filter response are presented. Using asymptotic solutions of parabolic cylinder function over different ranges of its parameter and argument, analytic solutions are obtained in terms of elementary functions. It is shown that the analytic solutions agree well with the numerical solutions based upon Ricatti equation.
