Practical HANGUL editor (HEDIT) have been developed using HANGUL/ENGLISH display terminal and dot matrix printer with HANGUL manipulation capability. HEDIT has very powerful pattern matching feature together with dynamic I/O commands. It also has a good internal buffer representation (i.e. linked list) which results in very fast editing operation.
Various technical details are discussed with summary of some HANGUL related problems in mechanization and computerization of HANGUL. Together with discussions, personal considerations from the practical experience in developing HEDIT are done.
Full documentation of HEDIT are published in another volume for practical use and for further research.
