A method is studied for obtaining solutions of the boundary layer equations for steady incompressible laminar two dimensional flow containing thin bubble.
The boundary layer equations are calculated numerically in the usual way until the separation point is approached, then the displacement thickness is prescribed as a function of the distance along the surface, leaving the external velocity to be calculated.
As a first step, accurate numerical calculation is performed for compressible turbulent boundary layer and then numerical solutions are obtained with reserved flow and thin separation bubble inside the boundary layer without the occurence of a singurar y at the separation point.
