We will discuss interesting problems in {\em combinatorial geometry} which is related to the sphere. First, we will investigate the shape of proper 4-colorings of the {\em orthogonality graph}. Second, we will generalize theorems about finite vector configurations into an {\em oriented matroid} version. In this thesis, we will show why these problems are related to the sphere and how ideas and techniques in combinatorial geometry can resolve them. Also, we will explain the meaning of these results and list some open problems which people in combinatorics or geometry would be easily interested in.
이 논문은 구와 관련된 흥미로운 이산 기하의 문제들을 다룬다. 첫째로, {\em orthogonality graph}의 proper 4-coloring의 모양이 어떻게 생겼을까에 대해 분석한다. 두번째로, 이산 기하에서의 중요한 주제 중 하나인 finite vector configurations에 대한 고전적인 정리들을 {\em oriented matroid} version으로 일반화한다. 이 논문에서, 우리는 왜 이 문제들이 구와 연관성이 있으며, 이산 기하에서의 idea와 technique들이 그 문제들을 푸는 데 어떻게 도움이 되는지 고찰할 것이다. 또한, 이 결과들이 가지는 의미가 무엇인지, 이와 관련된 open problem들은 어떤 것이 있는지 다룰 것이다.
