This thesis deals with the problem of the optimal location of the warehouse in the two-stage distribution system, i.e., the distribution system where the commodities are delivered from the plants to the demand points via the warehouses.
For this problem several solution-methods have been suggested since the Marks' Branch and Bound procedure. The purpose of this study is to present a new B ＆ B procedure which can solve this problem efficiently. The proposed B ＆ B procedure is different from the existing B ＆ B procedures in the following aspect: the node-simplification steps developed by Akinc-Khumawala and Roodman-Schwarz in the one-stage problem are applied to reduce the size of the B ＆ B tree and the total computation time by simplifying the branching step.
It is also shown that the proposed B ＆ B procedure is applicable to the another three cases where some assumptions of the model are relaxed or modified.
本論文은 2段階流通構造 ( 製品이 工場에서 倉庫를 거쳐 消費地에 到達하는 流通構造)內의 倉庫의 最適立地選定에 關한 硏究이다.
本問題에 대하여 Marks 가 Branch and Bound 과정을 이용하여 接近한 以來에 몇가지 解法이 開發되었다. 本硏究의 目的은 이 問題를 效率的으로 풀수있는 새로운 B \& B 과정을 提示하는데 있다.
本硏究에서 제시한 B \& B과정은 다음과 같은 点에서 旣存의 B \& B接近法과 다르다. 1단계 모형에서 Akinc-Khumawala 와 Roodman-Schwarz가 개발한 Node 簡略化과정 ( Node Simplification Step ) 을 導入함으로써 branching 과정을 簡略化하여 結果的으로 B \& B tree 의 크기와 總計算時間의 短縮을 期하였다.
또한 本硏究에서 提示한 B \& B과정은 模型의 假定을 緩和 또는 變更한 다른 세가지 경우도 적용가능함을 보였고 끝으로 앞으로의 硏究의 方向에 대한 提言을 하였다.
