Synthesis of 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propanoic acid potassium-salt and 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propenoic acid potassium-salt and studies on their catalytic effects.
3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propanoic acid potassium-salt and 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propenoic acid potassium-salt were synthesized by the reaction of 2-pyrrolidone potassium-salt with succinic anhydride and maleic anhydride in acetone and in benzene.
The anionic polymerization of 2-pyrrolidone with 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propanoic acid potassium-salt or 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propenoic acid potassium-salt as an initiator and potassium hydroxide as a catalyst was studied.
It was found that 2.0 and 1.0 mol%, concentration of catalyst and initiator, and temp. of 50℃ was the optimum condition obtaining highest conversion and viscosity of polymer.
The inherent viscosity of nylon4 was measured to be 1.2 dl/gr and 2.3 dl/gr.
3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)- propanoic acid의 potassiumsalt 와 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propenoic acid의 potassium-salt 를 합성하고 이것을 2-pyrrolidone 음이온 중합의 개시제로 사용하여 그 효과를 조사하였다.
50℃에서 KOH 의 농도를 2mol%로 고정시키고, 개시제를 1.5, 1.0, 0.5mol%로 변화시켰을 때 1.0mol%에서 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propenoic acid K-salt/KOH catalysis 에 의하여 합성한 Nylon 4 의 inherent viscosity는 2.3 dl/g 이였고 3-(N-carbonylpyrrolidone)-propenoic acid K-salt 개시제에 의하여 합성한 중합체의 inherent viscosity 는 1.2 dl/gr이였다.
