In this thesis, the turbulent phenomena due to parametric instability at the critical density is discussed. Taking into account the Landau damping effect, computer analysis shows that the wave energy spectrum depends on inverse square of wave number ($K^{-2}$) approximately, and the parametric instability is saturated by mode coupling between unstable electron-plasma waves. Its saturation time is $4\times10^{-13} \sec$, and also it's energy is larger 2∼3 times in comparison with Laser field energy. These mode-coupled fields give rise to supra-thermal electron formations and the electron distribution function is obtained. The theoretical predictions are in good agreement with computer simulation results. And several techniques to supress these undesirable processes are demonstrated.
