There are changes occuring in the field of machine tool control, i.e. hardware controllers to minicomputer systems. It originates from the fact that the latter system has more flexibility and its price has been lowered significantly.
This thesis is concerned with the design and development of an on-line control system using a small digital computer and permanent magnet pulse motors to provide coordinate positioning and contouring of machine tool slides. Modification is introduced in a conventional milling machine that makes it possible to perform metal cutting operation under computer control in an open-loop system. The characteristics of pulse motors are investigated and a linear interpolation algorithm is introduced in detail. Finally the necessary software and hardware are developed.
공작기계자동제어분야는 하드웨어 제어로 부터 미니컴퓨터 제어로의 변화가 일어나고 있다. 이는 후자가 더 큰 다양성을 가짐에도 그 가격이 현저히 저렴해짐에 기인한다.
본 논문에서는 제어용으로 소형 디지탈 컴퓨터를, 공작계기 위치제어용으로 영구자석 회전자형 펄스모우터를 사용한 온라인제어시스템의 설계에 관하여 연구하였다. 또 개회로시스템으로 컴퓨터제어에 의한 금속가공에 적합하도록 기존 밀링기를 개조하였다. 사용된 펄스모우터의 동작특성을 기승하고 아울러 직선보간방법을 자세히 다루었다.
끝으로 작동에 필요한 소프트웨어와 하드웨어를 설계하였다.
